Valerie Harris

Firm Administrator

Valerie Harris, Firm Administrator, holds a Master’s Degree from Florida State University and started with Mayerson & Associates in 2000, the same year the firm was founded. Val oversees client engagements and all financial issues, and communicates regularly with client families, the firm’s attorneys and reimbursement specialists, and the DOE. She is well versed in the impartial hearing process as well as routine, uncontested guardianship matters. Val is extremely proud of her 25 years of service to Mayerson & Associates, and that Mayerson, Mure & Hobbs will now continue the firm's tradition of providing families with boutique, individualized attention.

In addition to her work with the firm, Val served as an adjunct professor at Marymount Manhattan College for fifteen years. Prior to that, she was a crisis counselor for abused and runaway youth. Valerie is the proud mother of adult twin sons, one of whom has autism.
